Our December Meeting Christmas Party was held on Dec 10th, with the Berkeley County Republican Club at Craig Blair's business, Sunset Water, Inc. It was wonderful to have the clubs join together for such important an event. We had a number of delegates, a few candidates running for delegate, and various other public officials, 37 people in all from both clubs. There was enough wonderful food to feed all of us a few times over. The office looked beautiful with Christmas trees and decorations all around, and soft Christmas carols playing in the background.
The Gateway Republican Women had their officers pass the candles as they passed the leadership from the 2009 officers to the 2010 officers, it was a lovely sight, (pictures to come later) (See below for officers)
The Berkeley County Republican Club then had their swearing in of officers and board members for 2010. (See below for officers)
Gifts were given to our outgoing Presidents and a great time was had by all.

Phil Martin of Martinsburg - running for Berkeley County Commission (Council)

Our present delegates and Shelley Moore Capito are also being challenged and need our support more than ever. Please come and help us get control of the State of WV and bring it's standards up, especially Education, which is suffering terrible in the state rankings. The only way for people to better themselves is to get an education. Lets try to help them - help themselves, without a handout, but with a hand up....

NOVEMBER NEWS

Welcome to our website, so glad you could join us. November is the month we all come together to vote in our new officers and to give thanks for another year on this Earth to share our lives with so many wonderful people. Come and help us help each other to improve the Eastern Panhandle and our great state of WV. It is so easy to sit at home and complain and say how the Republican Party has fallen apart or gone a stray, but how much better would it be to come out and try to help make it better and help us pull it back together. What a great feeling of accomplishment to see someone you believe in get elected, and know that you helped that happen. We can help get things done, if we work as a team. Our club works closely with the Berkeley County Republican Club and we try to keep up to date on the Jefferson, Morgan County and WV Republican happenings, so can be more connected to each other.
Last month we had a wonderful time at the Annual Eisenhower Dinner and Tea Pot Auction, hosted by the Berkeley County Republican Club and the Reception by the Berkeley County Executive Committee. AUGUST
Welcome to our website. We have had an exciting summer so far.
We had a wonderful meeting in July with Jo Ann Overington, BC Magistrate as our speaker. That was very informative. It is amazing how hard that position is. You really have to be on the ball, and Jo Ann seems to be up to the challenge.
Also, that night we had a visit from the young lady, Frannie Dunn, that was giving a chance to attend Camp Lincoln for a week through the Gateway Republican Women's donation. Frannie said, she had the best time she has ever had and thanked us so much for giving her the opportunity to attend.
We also had our Reagan Day Picnic with the Berkeley County Republican Club at Poor House Farm and it was perfect.
Great weather, great people and great food. I am already looking forward to next years picnic. I had no idea it would be so nice.
Craig Blair handled our auction and did a great job getting bids for some pretty interesting items.
Then we set up a table at the Berkeley County Youth Fair with the BCRC, Dora Grove worked the fair every night and almost single handed, she registered about 70 people to vote. We sold a few patriotic pins and gave out copies of the Constitution, purchased by Dora Grove, so that people will know what rights they have before they have to give them up.
This month should be busy as well. I have listed below the meetings for August and the information to date on the Eisenhower Dinner in October. Please try to join us at any or all of the events listed. For more information - give me a call.
God bless.
